Policies for Staying at Hermann Motel
Pet-Friendly Conditions
Reservations
All reservations are booked with a valid credit card. The credit card will be charged a deposit of 50% of the room rate at the time of booking. The remainder balance will be charged to the credit card on file 7 days prior to your check-in date. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express.
Your credit card will be held on file during your stay for and until room is cleaned for incidentals, damage to property, evidence of smoking of any kind in room, missing items, stains on towels and linens. and/or excessive cleaning needs.
Rates
All rates are based on double occupancy (single queen bed) and vary based on day of the week, seasonal, festivals, and special events. Please know there are select rooms that offer a pullout option for other guests such as the Family Suite with a full pullout couch (limit 4 guests), Deluxe Queen with a pullout twin ottoman (limit 3 guests), Deluxe Queen Pet Friendly with pullout twin ottoman (limit 3 guests). No blow-up mattress allowed.
Taxes
All rates are subject to the standard tax rate for the state of Missouri and the City of Hermann.
Cancellation
We understand that things happen and plans change, but as a small-independent motel, cancellations have a big impact on us. Thank you for your understanding!
If you need to cancel, please do so 7 days prior to your check-in date to get a full refund on your deposit, less a $15 processing fee.
There are no refunds granted for cancellations of less than 7 days of check-in.
Guests who fail to arrive as booked or depart early will be charged the full reservation amount.

Check-out: 11:00 am
Early Check-in and/or Late Check-out may be available each for a $25 fee. Please call motel (573-222-5117) for availability.
Hermann Motel operates with a self-check-in/out system, is not a full-service motel, and does not have a front desk.
Door access code is sent in a confirmation email and via text. The unique four-digit code is specific for each reservation as is followed by a checkmark to open the door. The door does not automatically lock so upon entering please manually lock the door for your privacy and safety. When leaving the room, press the Silver Yale button (at the top of the keypad) to lock the door. Hermann Motel is not responsible for any theft or damage to your property.
Each room is serviced, stocked and supplied with all linens for the duration of your stay. If you need assistance while on the property, please call our Property Manager, 573-222-5117.
Smoking
All 23 rooms and the vending room are non-smoking OF ANY KIND. Evidence of smoking inside will result in an immediate $250 smoking fee. Please be respectful of other guests and smoke away from the motel and dispose of materials in the designated cigarette receptacles.
Quiet Hours
We ask our guests to conduct themselves in a respectful manner and be kind to one another. During the hours of 10:30 pm – 7:00 am, please avoid loud talking, music and television noise. Any complaints will result in a warning and if not adhered to it could result in removal of the property without a refund.
Parking
We have ample parking with 29 parking spaces for our guests to park, which includes one handicap spot and three oversized spaces. Parking is on a first come first served basis with ample parking on the street as well. Feel free to park prior to check-in time to catch the trolley or walk to town.
Lost and Found
If you leave an item behind, please call the motel immediately. Our staff will do their best to retrieve and secure your item. You can arrange to pick up your item or have it shipped at your expense with a $15 service fee. Any items unclaimed for over 30 days will be donated.
Pet Policy
- Dogs & Cats of under 75 lbs are welcome in our designated Pet Friendly Rooms only.
- Pets must be always leashed and under the owner’s control.
- Pets are never to be left alone in any of our units.
- The pet owner is responsible to “clean up” after their pet.
- Excessively dirty or soiled rooms by pets will be charged an additional fee to cover the costs of deep cleaning a room.
- Any property damage to the room will be charged an additional fee to cover the cost of repairs.
- Fees may also apply if pet waste is found in private yards after your departure.
- Excessive barking will result in being asked to leave without refund.
- Guests keeping pets in non-pet friendly rooms without prior approval will be charged $100 per pet, per night.
- If Hermann Motel incurs any loss of business, or compensation is required for another guest due to noise or other complaints, those charges will be billed according to your guest account.
